I just love going to the park. on Turkey day we went to the park so Mama and Daddy and their crazy friends could play football. i think they're too old for it - someone could get hurt! anyway, while they played, i hung out with Nana. i sampled some elk poo (i don't recommend it without some kind of dipping sauce), played in the mud (there's nothing better), and fell off the swing. Nana thought it was funny that i got sand in my pants - until she's the one that got to change my diaper!

the Park
I just love going to the park. on Turkey day we went to the park so Mama and Daddy and their crazy friends could play football. i think they're too old for it - someone could get hurt! anyway, while they played, i hung out with Nana. i sampled some elk poo (i don't recommend it without some kind of dipping sauce), played in the mud (there's nothing better), and fell off the swing. Nana thought it was funny that i got sand in my pants - until she's the one that got to change my diaper!
hard worker
in this picture i was helping Daddy load up some firewood at the land to take back home. i'm SUCH a good helper - i sat in the grass with Mama, ate sticks, and threw pieces of elk poop. it was a lot of hard work but definitely worth it! now we have enough wood to keep us warm for at least 2 weeks (the way Mama burns thru it - Daddy says she's a pyro).
it's all about me
i was having a great time crawling and walking around until i discovered that if you leave your hands in the snow they get cold! and then the sun gets in your eyes - now that really chaps my hide. the day after turkey we went up the mountain to get our christmas tree and ended up with three! one for Nana and Papa (surprise!), one for Auntie Duck Duck (no bah humbug this year), and one for us. not sure what good it does just sitting there looking pretty - they don't even let me play with it.
establishing trust
seriously, why do parents feel the need to lie to us about very important things? take cake, for example. until my birthday i didn't even know there WAS such a thing. and it's heavenly! the frosting is so sweet and sugary and yummy. it's my new favorite food. forget peas! did they seriously think i would go through life loving peas? it's a whole new world......
who comes up with this stuff?
this was a present from my buddy Cole. it's a tractor with a farmer, cows, and a milk maid (oops, dairy goddess). it's from 'the Little People'. now, i realize i haven't been around very long but isn't it politically incorrect to make fun of someone's physical misfortunes? they're definitely little (and kinda overweight if you ask me) but seriously, haven't the toy makers got any boundaries? anyway, i like pushing the tractor around and throwing the little people at the dogs.
a scholar i'm not
Nana helped me open birthday presents. in this picture i got a book. another book. don't get me wrong - i LOVE books. but don't they know that I CAN'T READ??? and it's not just books - Nana loves to send me cards on the holidays and i just don't have the heart to tell her that i don't understand a damn thing they say. but the pictures are nice and they sure tear up good.....
too neat to eat
Nana made this really cool cake for my birthday. it's a bulldozer with real dirt - my favorite! ok, it's not real dirt but it sure tasted good. the bulldozer even has taillights - that was Papa's idea. and the monkey candle was on my Mama's and Auntie's first birthday cakes a looooooong time ago. i didn't know they made candles way back then!
it's not a party without balloons
it's my FIRST birthday and these balloons were really wiggin' me out in the beginning. Daddy tied them everywhere - to my chair, to the table, to the doorknob, and even to my pants! i guess i should just be glad that there wasn't a clown on the other end of them. i hear clowns are super freaky and the last thing i need to do is cry at my own party!
meltdown
I asked them nicely NOT to post this picture but they (Mama and Daddy) think it's just SO funny when i have temper tantrums. i cry and scream and hug the floor because life is just so hard sometimes. Nana is laughing at me too - they all must have forgotten what it was like to do nothing but play, sleep, play, eat, and have someone else wipe your butt for you all day!
the Barber
I got my first haircut the week before my birthday. Mama was sick and tired of my bangs in my eyes but Daddy didn't want to cut the curls off the back. so they compromised and Daddy trimmed up front and on the sides. Nana supervised and Mama took pictures. I did pretty good - didn't start crying till the end because they were making me sit SO still for SO long. now i'm pretty stylin'
what NOT to wear
Little Cooker
I'm helping Mama make dinner. i think we're going to have green chilis and i'll stir them up with two spoons. seriously - there's a lot of fun stuff in these kitchen cupboards! one of them is FULL of tupperware, a big one is ALL booze (they lock that one up), and another is different sizes of cans, boxes, and glass jars. I'm told those are the "canned goods". one of my favorite things to do is to take each canned good out of the cupboard one at a time and put it on the floor. then when i'm board with it, i move on to a different cupboard. hours of fun!

Mama
My Mama doesn't HATE me, but she does like to torture me sometimes (see Daddy's post below). like with this halloween costume - i'm supposed to be a duck but i don't think i look anything like auntie duckie. Mama says she got the costume cheap and that it would keep me warm while we were out getting candy. she was right. Mama is ALWAYS right.
Sweet Boy
My shirt says "Mummy says I'm sweeter than this candy". but my mama doesn't really say that. sometimes she calls me a monster - like on the plane ride back from our family visit the other weekend. it was nap time and i was definitely tired but i wasn't about to let a learning opportunity pass me by! i played with all the toys my parents brought, the stuff in the seat back in front of me, the back of Daddy's seat, the window, the head rest of the seat in front of us, and anything i could get my hands on. Mama kept asking if i had ants in my pants. of course i didn't! i'd probably be crying if that was the case. instead i was flirting with the lady two row behind.....
Austin
Rob
This is our friend Rob. he was building really tall stuff with the blocks and Wy and i were knocking them down. it was funny because he just kept building and we kept knocking. this went on for quite some time and i don't know if he ever got it - that we were ALWAYS going to knock it down. he seemed to have fun - i was glad we could entertain him.
true fan
My best friend Wyatt came to stay with us for a bit. In this picture I think he's trying to eat the cat. don't worry, she doesn't ever seem to mind. can you tell by the look on my face that i'm EXASPERATED with the Packers? seriously, the Bucs beat us! if this keeps up, it's going to be a looooong lifetime of being a Packer Backer.

smile please
in case you didn't notice, we're ALL Packer fans where i come from. this is Tommy and Tyler - i got to play with them when we were back visiting Wisconsin. i was actually cranky and wanted to cry in this picture but everyone kept calling my name and making funny faces. it's hard not to stop crying and at least try to smile for that. i wonder if they know how silly they all look?
the next Ansel Adams
this is my friend Tyler. he was taking pictures of himself and everything else in the house - he's so good i think maybe he's going to be a photographer when he grows up. he even took a picture of a picture of people i don't know. anyway, we visited him in Milwaukee so we could be closer to the Packers when they played. just kidding.
Packer Family
we celebrated the 10 month anniversary of my birth day with Grandma and Grandpa in Wisconsin. and as you can see, it was Packer Sunday when we took this picture. i was finally feeling better after having projectile puked on Grandma's couch (right about where Daddy is sitting). Grandma and Grandpa took really good care of my crabby ass while Mama and Daddy had fun at Auntie Jeanie's wedding. now i have a new Uncle Curt. and he has a Harley - can't wait to go for a ride!
what more could you want?
water baby
who needs a swimming pool when you have a HOT TUB!!! Daddy bought me this floatie when he first found out Mama was pregnant. and he was SO upset when he found out he couldn't take me into the hot tub as an infant. but NOW i can hang out with him anytime! and i can splash ALL I WANT and not get in trouble for drenching the bathroom. the bubbles are fun and Daddy keeps the temperature just like bath water. everyone should have one of these!
trouble, trouble
i am being VERY naughty in this picture. I'm eating pieces off of Mama's spider plant, i'm smudging up the door window, and i'm screaming every time Mama tells me "no". who made up that word anyway? why can't everything be "yes"? what kind of negative world have i been born into? I've decided that i will be a positive person and not take "no" for an answer. at least not from Mama and Daddy for the next 18 years :-)
yoga
while Mama harvests the garden i like to practice my yoga and get a bit of a snack in at the same time. but i don't understand why i have to be wearing socks - my toes just don't taste the same with them on! i'm wearing my badger shirt in this picture - did you know that they're 5-0 after beating Minnesota today? GO BADGERS!!!
bath time
Sadie is SO good at making sure that there's no extra food ANYWHERE on me after i have dinner (or on the floor by my chair). i think she likes peas and carrots the best. after she gave me this bath Mama had to give me ANOTHER bath in the tub because she said i smelled "like dog". i don't understand why that's a bad thing. if they don't like the smell of dog then why do we have three big ones?
Opa's little hippie boy
Auntie Jeanie
Mama said Auntie Jeanie was REALLY hung in this photo but i don't see anything hanging down. and Daddy said it was all because of Knob Creek. but i don't remember us going to any creek. so i'm not sure how Auntie Jeanie ended up not feeling so well but at least she was smiling as i dropped cheerios on her lap!
the Horse Lady
inside my head i call Auntie Julie "the Horse Lady". she knows EVERYTHING about horses and teaches me a little more every time i see her. her and Uncle Justin brought Shy, Dom, and Gator to the land for a camping weekend. the dogs like to eat the horse poo and i like to lick the fence railing while Auntie Julie babbles.
Auntie Duck Duck
Auntie Duck Duck comes camping with us a lot. she kept me all snuggly warm just before bed time. then her, Fer, Auntie Julie and Mama woke me up with all their giggling behind the camper where i was sleeping. I'm not sure what was so funny, but Daddy didn't think it was funny at all. No more group trips to the girls' bathroom!
i LOVE camping!
there's so much stuff on the ground that fits nicely in my mouth. and so many different smells, and sights, and sounds. and fire! Daddy calls Mama a 'pyro'. that must be a good thing because she makes nice big, warm fires for all of us to gather around. Mama and Nana made the fire pit behind me. Daddy says you can send signals to space from it. i hope the space people see it and come join us for s'mores!
Harley
the Hat Game
Papa likes to play a game with me. he throws his dirty, grimey baseball hat onto my head. and in anticipation, i smile and giggle. then i pull the hat off, hand it over, and we do it all over again, giggling all the while. Papa and Nana think it's really funny. i guess it's more like a game that i play for them. whatever i can do to keep them from crying, you know? by the way, did you check out the cleavage in this pic? pretty hot grandma, don't you think?
hard work
Daddy?

where's the beef?
who sharted?
hog park
we went to Wyoming to visit Nana and Papa and their shed. it's next to the White House. and just down the gravel road from Rocky's. this picture was taken at Hog Park Reservoir. i didn't see any hogs so i'm not sure why they call it that but it sure was pretty there. we went for a walk along the lake and threw out sticks for the dogs. it was entertaining
for the family album
they say "the family that poops in the woods together - stays together''. that's us! i'm not sure who 'they' are and i'm curious how they know that i poop a lot but i'm happy to hear we'll all be together for a long time. i'd like to camp every day- who needs a real house? just more to take care of, that's what Papa says.
back in the saddle again
Auntie Julie and Uncle Justin brought their horses up to the land so we went riding. i love bouncing around and laughing. can't wait till i'm bigger and can ride by myself, just like Auntie Julie and Mama used to do when they were little. i wonder if Daddy will get me pony? or maybe a miniture jackass? i'd even settle for a goat at this point
sharing hats
mountain man
this is me hangin' with Hendrix up at the land. we spent the weekend up there and some friends came to visit. i had fun eating grass and flowers and sticks and watching the dogs run around. they all wanted to share my blanket with me and took turns licking my face. who needs a bath when you're camping with dogs!
celebrate!
for the 8 month anniversary of my birth day we went to Lake Mac in Nebraska. it was kinda like going to the beach in Mexico. except - it wasn't. i had lots of fun filling my mouth and my pants with sand. i tried working on my tan but every time i got the unbrella out of my rays someone had the nerve to put it back! so i just decided to eat more sand. like Daddy always says, you gotta have a back up plan when you can't get a tan

King of the Backyard
one beautiful Sunday I spent the afternoon in our backyard with Auntie Julie, Uncle Justin, Daddy, and Mama. they played ladder golf and I entertained myself and the dogs with various toys. Auntie and Uncle stayed over the night before because Daddy and Mama went to Cheyenne Frontier Days to see George Strait. I'm not sure who that is but they got home really late and Papa wishes he was there.
