nap time

boy, camping sure is hard work. Daddy and i took a nap after a long day of reading, hanging with the dogs, and making music.

future musician

Mama taught me how to make beautiful music by banging my spoon on a tin cup. so while her and Daddy cut and stacked firewood i played songs for them. i think they really liked it even though every song sounded kinda the same

bath time

after eating my lunch i decided to hang out with the dogs in the meadow - hendrix is the one with the big teeth, the brown dog is sadie (not to be confused with The Cat), and saki is the yellow one that is cleaning off my face. i must be dirty A LOT because pretty much any time one of them is at eye level they want to clean me up.

gettin' educated

we went camping this weekend and i decided to catch up on some learning so i helped Mama read her book. i like to challenge her by scrunching the pages so she has to guess the words when all she can see is just a few letters. i'd like to tear the pages out completely but i'm guessing she wouldn't like that so much.

oh so tired

after a full day of hanging out with Nana i am SO tired. sometimes it's stressful, you know? eating, laughing, poo'ing, playing, throwing stuff, eating, drooling, whining. i don't know how i do it!

charm

Mama said i get my charm courtesy of Dad. or maybe she was just reading my t-shirt. wonder where i get my drooling habit from???

workin' on it

Auntie Julie hung out with me on her day off. we went for a long walk, read books about animals, and played music. i hadn't poo'd in a few days and so I worked hard ALL DAY to get that poo out special for Auntie Julie. but I just couldn't get it done in time so Nana got my surprise instead. i bet Auntie Julie feels bad that she didn't get it but i promised her next time it'll be even better!

hangin' with Nana

Nana has been hanging out with me a lot lately. she's on her summer break and likes to come over and play. she stayed an entire week once when Mama was working long days with the FDA. Nana likes to take me for walks, sing songs, and dance for me. she's pretty fun

stuffed!

I can't believe I ate the whoooooooole thing!

Sweet Potatoes

i am TOTALLY diggin' sweet potatoes. of course, anything is better than rice cereal. i also like peas, beans, squash, spinach, carrots, and even oatmeal. anything but rice cereal!

Parker Days

we took Nana and Papa out to breakfast for their 43rd wedding anniversary and then went to the farmers market in Parker. Auntie Julie carried me around all day and showed me off to lots of pretty ladies. i might have to make her my wing man when i get older

Uncle Raymond

my uncle Rayme was a little nervous to hold me but i thought he did a great job. i visited him back in February when we were in Wisconsin. he lives on the farm with my great granddad and grandma Wille

secret

i'm pretty sly and i have a secret but i'm not telling!

Michelle

this is my friend Michelle. she came all the way from California to visit me. she brought me a monkey puppet that sings a song by the Monkeys. i didn't know monkeys could sing so it kinda wigged me out at first.

Uncle Paul

that's my great uncle Paul. he lives in Wisconsin on the old farm. he looks a lot like my Papa because they're brothers.

Radio Flyer

I got a real Radio Flyer wagon from Daddy's work friends. it even has the big alterrain wheels so we can go off road. Papa and Daddy put it together for me and then took me for a ride.

Zach

this is my friend Zach. he was born 3 weeks before me and looks just like his dad. he came over last night and got to stay up really late. i was tired and crabby so i didn't get to hang out with him very long but we'll get together again soon.

Mexico

this is me sitting on our back deck. on a sunny day in the spring it's just like being in Mexico - at least that's what Scott's woman says. i brought my phone with me in case anyone wanted to call while i was on vacation. no one did

Great Grandma Sally

this is my Great Grandma Sally. I went to visit her when I was just a couple of months old. she was amazed at how much i weighed and said i was a big boy. she was very happy to meet me and can't wait to see me again

Gator

Gator is a new baby like me except he was late and I was early. he was only a couple of days old in this picture. and that's my uncle Justin

movie star

Daddy gave me these sunglasses when we were in Hawaii so i could go incognito. i'm not sure what that means but apparently no one mistook me for Brad Pitt so it must have worked. I hung out at the pool with Nana, Papa, Daddy and Mama all week - it was fun.

rice cereal

honestly, rice cereal SUCKS. tastes like paper mache paste. not that i've ever had that but if i did i would say that it tastes like rice cereal. i think they start you on this stuff so that when you get to peas you're like "wow - this green mush is awesome!" apparently i like vegetables when my only other option is glue.

Kolboth

my cousin Kolboth is from Cambodia. he's a really good soccer player and gymnast. he had just come home from a game that his team won.

yard work

I was helping Mama weed the back flower bed. I realize my hands didn't get dirty, but really, I was helping! she pulled a LOT of weeds out of the wildflowers. not sure how she knew what was a weed and what was a flower b/c I sure didn't. while she picked I played. and the dogs kept an eye on me and made sure my face didn't get dirty - they like to give BIG kisses

Duck

I'm pretty little here and Hendrix is making sure that auntie Duck doesn't make me cry. but he had nothing to worry about - she knows what she's doing (usually). she comes over for "girls' night" during the week - her and Mama watch some silly show about one girl dating 20 boys. I'm taking notes on how to treat a lady. Daddy says it will come in handy later

passport

Daddy took this photo of me for my passport application. i'm ready - let's GO! I've already got a list of places I'd like to see (compliments of Mama) that we found on the big map. Africa sounds fun - lots of animals. and Italy - apparently they have really good Mama Juice there. and southeast Asia - I just LOVE the color green

Shy

Auntie Julie took me for a ride on Shy - my first trip on a horse. I'm not sure if you can call it a REAL trip because all we did was go around in circles - what's the point of that? kind of like nascar racing - will I ever understand it? anyway, can't wait till we can go fast in a straight line and actually go somewhere!

cousin Kiana

my cousin Kiana is really pretty. she's from Guatemala. I've never been there but Mama promised that someday we'd go there. maybe Kiana can come too. she made that bear behind me at Build-a-Bear. her and her brother Ross are really good at that kind of stuff. I think I'd like to try it some day

Wyatt

this is my friend Wyatt. he's really cool. he has teeth already! we parallel play - I'm not quite sure what that is but apparently we're good at it. he recently moved away with his mama Kelly and it makes me sad. but now he gets to spend more time with his Nana and Papa so I guess I can understand why he had to go. Wy is a cowboy with red hair. could a boy have a better best friend?

bath time

i LOVE bath time. i used to think it was kinda sketchy - who needs to be clean anyway? and the part where you go from the nice warm water to the cold air - that's not the best thing. but Daddy likes to dump water over my head and he lets me pee in the tub. does it get any better than that?

the Breunigs

these are my friends Ashton, Season, and Averee. they live far away - we had to take a big plane to get there. when I was still in my Mama's belly Ashton and Averee drew me pictures that hang on the wall in my bedroom. i love to look at them when I'm getting a new diaper. maybe I'll be a great artist like them someday

my chair

i'm 3 months old in this picture, relaxing in my new chair from the DaWalts. you'll see it in lots of pictures b/c we like to take it everywhere with us. it even went to Hawaii! i love it - very comfortable, stylish, and portable. could you ask for more out of a chair? seriously, i'm asking. I wouldn't know because this is the first one i've ever sat in.

4 generations

i'm not sure what a "generation" is but apparently there are 4 of them in this picture. that's my great granddad Reinhard, my Daddy, and my Grandpa. His name is Bob. when i was new I looked a LOT like Grandpa. I still do, just not as much. I'm honored to have my middle name - Rein - come from great grandad. he's always smiling - maybe that's where i get it from!

Nana

Nana spoiles me. a LOT. all i have to do is make one little peep and she's there to entertain me. she's pretty funny. Mama took me to Nana's school to meet her co-workers and she bragged me up like mad. I got her pretty flowers for her birthday - guess that scored me LOTS of points with all the pretty ladies. Daddy sure does give good advice......

Mike the Monkey

at first Mike kinda freaked me out until I realized that his head is big in proportion to his body - just like mine! after that we became good friends. Daddy says big head means big brain - so someday I'm gonna be smart just like him. I hope it's someday soon. maybe then I'll realize that Mike isn't real and he won't wig me out so much

Santa Claus

again, not sure that Santa is all he's cracked up to be since I was clearly asleep in this picture. but since it was my first Christmas and all, Mama and Daddy took me to see him - Nana's realtor sets it up every year. it was pretty neat, but I didn't stay awake very long. his beard was real and everything and he had a big belly. I'm wearing an outfit that Sarah and Smith got for me - it has "my first Christmas" on the butt. I sure have a nice looking bum!

goin' golfing

I'm really not going to go golfing, but Mama thinks this shirt makes me look like a pro. I got it as a gift - it came with matching blue shorts. pretty stylin' don't you think? the first time I wore it I had a blow out. that will teach them to put me in something cute!

Grandma

This is my Grandma. she came all the way from Wisconsin to visit me when I was new. I may look puzzled in this picture but really I was just studying her dazzling smile - I've been trying ever since to create one of my own. she thinks I'm doing a pretty good job

Spa Day

I was only a couple of weeks old when Mama and Nana took me to the Aveda Spa for facials (for them, not me, silly!) It was really cold that day so they bundled me up good. Daddy wasn't too happy that I was out and about
with the weather the way it was, but I definitely had fun watching all the pretty ladies in their fluffy robes. and I got to hang with Nana. Mama told me that you can't go wrong getting your significant other a gift card to a spa (hint, hint Papa)

Smith

this is my friend Smith. he has less hair than I do so I thought it was pretty nice of him to let me borrow his hat. it was pretty sunny out and him, Sarah, Daddy and Mama were playing a game called ladder golf. I think Mama and Sarah might have won. but then again, since Mama helps me write these blogs, maybe she just told me that the ladies won.....

No More PICTURES!!!

Daddy took hundreds of pictures of me in just my first couple months of life. aren't you glad you don't have to look at ALL of them? seriously, enough already! with the new high definition film i might look like one of those heavily made-up news casters.

gone fishin'

Papa got me this fishing pole for Christmas. but i'm not quite sure what i'm supposed to do with it. he said he'll teach me someday. someday when i can walk and talk and change my own diaper. he's not too keen on that.

my first Easter

Nana made me this really cool Easter Bunny cake and gave me a basket and everything. I'm not quite sure what a cute bunny has to do with Easter but I'll take the candy anytime. just wish they'd let me eat it......

what???

what? seriously, what? i'm 2 months old. do they honestly expect me to understand what they're talking about???
maybe if I just smile and coo they'll think I'm paying attention. blah, blah, blah. Daddy said to get used to it - and is teaching me how to pretend that I don't hear them. "what? did you say my name? of course I didn't respond. I don't even know what my name is!"

card shark

daddy was teaching me how to play euchre - apparently it's not that exciting (see, I'm asleep). and it's not easy to spell. who made up that word anyway? seriously, if you want me to learn how to talk and spell and stuff, couldn't you start with words like dog and cat? based on all the hair in my mouth I think we might have a few of those around here......

surfing?!?

Mama and Daddy took me to Hawaii in February. Nana and Papa came along to have fun with me. they all told me we were going surfing but all i got was this t-shirt. and it's not even mine! i had to borrow from my friend Wyatt because I didn't have any summer clothes that fit. It was winter in Denver you know. We had a great time - laying by the pool, drinking milk, going for walks, drinking milk, shopping, drinking milk, and lots of sleeping - my favorite!

funny lookin' giraffe

i'm only 1 month old in this picture - don't you think they should be honest with me about what a real giraffe looks like? this one sure is funny lookin'. same thing with ducks. Mama told me that real ducks aren't yellow like the one that lives in my bathtub. I'm glad she's honest with me otherwise I might say something silly (once I can talk), like "did you know that elephants are purple with pink spots?" seriously, I have one. but no one is fooling me!
