nessa

this is my girlfriend Nessa. she's an older woman. and she's smokin' hot. her and her daddy came to visit me and daddy while mama was out of town for work. we played in the yard, had dinner, and talked about our parents. i wanted to kiss her but i heard you have to wait till the third date. so i'll be patient - she's worth it!

ladies night

mama was unpacking all her clothes and she thought it was funny that i looked so cute in one of her tank tops. but daddy wasn't laughing. he thought i looked like a girl. and a pretty darn cute one, if i do say so myself!

the Golden Pit

i snuck this picture in because it's the only one i could find of the new house since the remodel and aunt dayna has been buggin' mama to send pics of the new place. we haven't gotten all of it finished just yet - still need trim, kick boards, cabinet hardware, stove backsplash, dishwasher, etc. (and that's just the kitchen!), but it feels more and more like home every day. it's going to be really great growing up here - especially since there's like a million ways to sneak out!

egg face

so here's another strange thing about easter. you're supposed to color the eggs - eggs that the bunny steals from chickens - so that the bunny can then hide them for you to find. i had lots of fun coloring the eggs, especially when i "accidentally" broke one and had to eat it. so i guess it's all good.

Easter

the star of this show is the Easter Bunny. the bunny (gender unknown) hides eggs - but eggs come from chickens - for little kids to find. and then you eat ham and lamb for dinner. am i the only one thouroughly confused here? maybe this holiday celebrates farm animals. if that's the case, i'm all about it. especially the chickens that lay eggs with candy inside! we should get some of them for the back yard. daddy was helping me find eggs around the house

shake your money maker

next time mama is going to take a picture i'd ask that she give me some warning so i can suck in my gut. but really you should be focusing on the maracca in my hand. daddy brought it all the way from mexico for me. and i shook it SO hard that it broke and all the maraccas fell out. by the time daddy fixed it i had moved on to a different toy. but it was fun while it lasted

pickin' and grinnin'

dude! did you know you can stick your finger alllll the way up your nose? on BOTH sides!?! it's way cool. and if you get anything, you can wipe it on the shirt of the person next to you. good times. especially when their shirt is black.
in this picture i'm wearing a shirt that nana and papa got for me when they went to austin for a visit. it says, "HELP! Mommy's Having a Bad Day! Call 1-800-Grandma". that's not really nana's number - i tried calling it and no one answered. guess i'm stuck with a cranky mama

strike a pose

if i was a model, this would be my GQ shot. i'm too shy to show full frontal but i could be convinced to do partial nudity if the right actress was on the set. like maybe angelina jolie or jennifer aniston. but not both at the same time - they'd probably fight over me and make me cry.

packin' up

we moved to the new house on mama and daddy's third year anniversary. it was VERY romantic - they got to spend the entire day with close friends and family and lots of boxes. everyone was very busy hauling and cleaning and got the job done fast. i got to hang out with auntie julie, alex and my girlfriend nessa. but before all the fun, i helped out by cleaning out the cupboards!

whisker kisses

when mr smith gives me kisses, his wiskers tickle me and make me giggle. he giggles too because he thinks it's funny that i kiss with my mouth open. i'm only learning by example - that's what daddy does!

christmas in february

i got to have TWO christmas celebrations this year! grandma and grandpa came to visit in february and they brought santa with them. it was so much fun to see them and play all day.

mexico

mama and daddy went to mexico and left me back in colorado. they played with friends in puerta de aventuras and attended my cousin sara's wedding in cancun. i played with auntie julie, uncle justin, papa and nana the first part of the week, and then grandma and grandpa P came alllllll the way from wisconsin to play with me. tia was visiting too so we had LOTS of fun all of us together. as far as i'm concerned, mama and daddy can go on vacation anytime. i'll be JUST fine!

the tile team

daddy asked scott and dan to help with the kitchen tile because mama wanted travertine (unhoned and unfilled) in a versailles pattern. i don't really know what all that means, but i DO know that the tile team spent a lot of time 'discussing' how to do it. and there was a lot of tile - 400 square feet! papa kept telling daddy that he should pay someone to do it because he didn't think they'd get it done. he was there supervising. but you should see it now - it's really pretty. and fun to push my truck across.

Papa

Papa did a LOT of work on the new house. he came all the way across town several days a week to work hard so we could move in and be comfortable. in this picture, he's standing on the deck that mike and kevin built off mama and daddy's bedroom. they said it's a place for them to "get away". but i don't understand why they'd ever want to get away! at least not without me. mike and kevin put that patio door in too. and daddy is going to get mama a sauna to put back there. maybe some railing too - so i don't fall off.

who cut the...... tile (you thought i was going to say cheese, didn't you?)

sarah, smith and duck duck are cutting tile in this picture. they're experts with tile. they made my bathroom and the laundry room really pretty.

mike

this is mike. he's really cool. he visited us to help build stuff up at the new house. in this picture i was playing a song for him on my piano. he liked it so much that he asked to go karoake singing the next night. mama said he was goooooooood.

Take Your Son to Work day

i think the sign should say "Over 30, No Hair Cuts". check out my bangs! it's going to take years to grow them back!

Ole Bones

this is my buddy kevin. he's a lot older than me but i have more hair than him! he came to visit and build some stuff at the new house for mama and daddy. he has two kids - Kadin and Kaylee - and a really pretty wife Karin (she's auntie jeanie's sister). i'm hoping that someday soon i'll get to hang out with all of them again, now that i can run and keep up.

patience

this is Sadie and she's very patient. she puts up with a lot of pickin' from me. and she knows that eventually i'll drop some food so she just sits and waits. mama says she's better than a vacuum cleaner.

stylin'

daddy decided to cut my hair again and this time i had ants in my pants and didn't want to sit still. so daddy ended up cutting my bangs just a little too short - mama and nana laughed at me. so daddy just spiked my hair up likke his and now i'm way cool

Saydee

that's Saydee the cat in my tunnel. she passed away over the holidays and mama was very sad. her and saydee had been friends for 16 years - since mama was in college. i'm glad i got to meet her and play with her before she had to go.

my desk

this is the desk that Nana and Papa got me for christmas. it took daddy a looooong time to put it together. mama said that's because he didn't read the directions. it's pretty cool - i keep stuff in the drawer under the seat and i sit at it to have snack sometimes.

me and mama

that's mama with straight hair. daddy says it's like having a different woman in the bedroom. but she looks different to me in every room.

auntie julie

this is my auntie julie. she's a little crazy. i'm not sure why she's crawling around in my tunnel but she sure looks funny. next thing you know she'll want to sit in my high chair and sleep in my crib!

gift tags

mama taught me you should always read the card before you open the gift.

trucks

i just LOVE trucks. daddy let me open one present on christmas eve and after that i really didn't care if i got to open any more. trucks are so much fun to push around the room. at daycare i'd rather push trucks than listen to books or sing songs or eat snacks. this truck is made from recycled materials right here in the USA. i guess my daddy is more of a tree hugger than he likes to let on

Christmas

i'm pretty sure that ALL of these presents are for me. or at least a couple of the big ones. this was the first christmas i really remember (last year i was just a little blob that slept a lot) and it was a really good one. bows are cool - wrapping paper too. big boxes are fun to crawl inside of. and ornaments on the tree? i'm sure you can just imagine......

TKO

this is what happens when you take on a professional boxer that's four times your size! actually, this is what happens when you have surgery on a little bump on your eyebrow bone. they totally knocked me out, i was a little black and blue for a few days, and now i have a really cool scar. mama and daddy say it should go away but kinda hope it doesn't - i bet the chicks will dig it

Hendrix

this is my buddy hendrix. he usually gets up and walks away when he sees me coming (i'm not quite sure why) but this time he let me hang out with him by the fire. i like to pet him and tell him 'good dog'. then i like to body slam him and giggle.
